Meditating with horses is an opportunity to set down your stresses and enter into horse time. Allowing your body and mind to relax as you sit in quiet awareness in the gentle presence of horses. Horses live fully in the moment, attuned to everything around them without judgment. Horses are the embodiment of mindful awareness and being with them can help us enter into our own inner quiet more easily.
Horse meditation circles are scheduled once or twice a month September - June. Come out and meet the horses and experience what they have to offer you. We look forward to seeing you soon!
See our schedule for horse meditations and sign up via Meetup.
Equine assisted therapy provides an innovative solution and a unique space for an emotionally safe, hands-on experience for our clients. With real-time feedback from the horse and therapy team, clients are able to reach issues where traditional talk-based therapies leave off.
Our trauma informed therapy services include a licensed, credentialed Mental Health Professional and a qualified Equine Specialist who structure sessions incorporating horses to effectively address our client’s treatment plan or learning goals, helping with issues such as depression, anxiety, grief, relationship issues, self-esteem and trauma.
We've learned that we can't force or shame ourselves into becoming a better version of us. But with compassionate understanding, safety and support we can take steps to accept and change ourselves in meaningful ways that will have a profound impact on who we are becoming. Sometimes its easier to see ourselves reflected in someone else, which is one of the most healing aspects of working in a group, knowing you are not alone.
Horses are also social creatures and do best living in a herd. You will see them display elements of awareness, communication, trust, respect, boundaries, relationships, and leadership within the herd. Being in the presence of horses and engaging in activities leads to important life lessons that can be applied to everyday issues. As we like to say, “You will learn a little about horses and a lot about life!” Our horses are our partners in this work and they are ultimately the best teachers of lessons we didn’t know we needed. Partnering with horses will get you out of your comfort zone and build courage, confidence, and independence.
